As a strong believer in equity and inclusion, Natalie is thrilled to have found a field that allows her to foster her passions in both refugee and immigration law. In addition to her work before the Immigration and Refugee Board, Natalie specializes in Federal Court litigation, deferral and stay of removal motions, and is proud to have successfully stopped multiple removals from Canada in 2025.

Prior to joining Sanelli Law, Natalie articled and practiced at a large firm in downtown Toronto. Before that, she graduated from Carleton University with a Bachelor of Humanities, and subsequently attended the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law.

During her time at the University of Ottawa, Natalie served as Co-Chair of the Women’s Legal Education and Action Committee’s Ottawa branch, and as Communications Vice-President of the Family Law in Practice Group. These experiences deepened her commitment to advocacy, gender equity, and access to justice.

Natalie is fluent in English and French, and is pleased to assist clients before the IRB in either official language.

Outside of her legal practice, Natalie enjoys singing, playing violin and piano, and travelling.

Fervent défenseur de l’équité et de l’inclusion, Natalie est ravie d’avoir trouvé un domaine qui lui permet de mettre à profit sa passion pour le droit des réfugiés et de l’immigration. En plus de son travail devant la Commission de l’immigration et du statut de réfugié, Natalie se spécialise dans les litiges devant la Cour fédérale, les reports et les demandes de sursis des expulsions, et est heureuse d’avoir empêché plusieurs expulsions du Canada en 2025. Avant de rejoindre le cabinet Sanelli Law, Natalie a fait son stage et a exercé dans un grand cabinet du centre-ville de Toronto. Auparavant, elle a obtenu une licence en sciences humaines à l’université Carleton, puis a fréquenté la faculté de droit de l’université d’Ottawa. Pendant ses études à l’Université d’Ottawa, elle a été coprésidente de la section d’Ottawa du Comité d’action et d’éducation juridiques des femmes et a également occupé le poste de vice-présidente des communications du groupe Family Law in Practice. Pendant son temps libre, Natalie chante, joue du violon et du piano et voyage. Elle parle anglais et français et est heureuse d’assister ses clients devant la CISR dans l’une ou l’autre de ces deux langues officielles.
